The villager said the information provided in the 1st public hearing on July 17th, 2023, explained the advantages of the industrial waste-to-energy (WtE) power plants, but the villagers are still concerned, especially about the pollution caused by its operation, and they think this project does not make a benefit the people in the area. In addition, the publications & information provided to the villagers are quite limited. even though the community is within a 3-kilometer radius of the plant.

The Lad Takian Conservation Group organized a public relations campaign to provide information about Industrial waste based WtE to Lat Takhian communities because many villagers have less information to make decisions. The power plant, with a capacity of 9.9 MW, is planning to develop at 61 Rais of land area inside Hi-Tech Industrial Estate by Proud Fah Power Co., Ltd., Green Care Energy Co., Ltd., and Me Preme Energy Co., Ltd. The plant will generate electricity from Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) to be produced from industrial waste, i.e., Textile waste, Wood waste, Rubber waste, Plastic waste, Paper scrap, and Leather waste. Technology to control pollution covering soil, water and air including PM 2.5, dioxins, heavy metals, and oxides of nitrogen will be employed, measures to mitigate impacts during construction and operation would be taken, the building is designed to fully cover the waste and a panel to display values for monitoring parameters will be installed in front of the factory.
