The Department of Industrial Works (DIW) has been monitoring Win Process Co., Ltd., whom the Rayong Provincial Court sentenced to process all industrial waste within the factory area since March 25th, 2021. DIW held a meeting with Win Process Co., Ltd., S.K. Interchemical Co., Ltd. and the Director of Rayong Provincial Industry Office to follow up on the progress on August 7th, 2023.
In the meeting, Representatives of S.K. Interchemical Co., Ltd., reported the progress of Industrial waste processing during February–July 2023, including problems & challenges. While DIW advised a proper method for processing the residue waste both inside the factory and in the wastewater pond around the factory. DIW also reminded that all the waste shall be completely processed by December 2023.
DIW held another meeting to follow up the case of improper handling of around 12,000 tons of Industrial Waste by Wax Garbage Recycle Center Co., Ltd. with Western Industrial Pollutions Research and Warning Center and Ratchaburi Provincial Industry Office on August 9th, 2023,
In the meeting, the participants discussed measures & guidelines for members of staff from relevant agencies and selected waste processors. DIW requests to process industrial waste at soonest possible in order to mitigate the impact on the environment and the community and expressed its’ expectation that the waste processing would be completed by early 2024 and claimed the company for all operating costs.
