On November 11th, 2022, Dr. Jullapong Thaveesri, Director General of Department of Industrial Works (DIW) together with representative of Industrial Waste Management Division, participated in the technical consultation meeting for Project on Enhancement of Industrial Waste Management in Thailand Under Bilateral Cooperation between DIW & Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ).
Thailand has been in cooperation with Japan since 2016 and entered to Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) for Enhancement of Industrial Waste Management No.2 on April 20th, 2022. Under the MOC, DIW and MOEJ cooperate in various activities such as exchanging information & experience on development and implementation, holding meetings & Technical consultation and others.
This meeting is one of the activities under MOC. The content of the meeting covered 3 main topics shared by Japanese Expert i.e., (1) Countermeasures against illegal dumping and/or improper processing of industrial waste in Japan, (2) Reuse & Recycle of Li-ion Battery and (3) Recycle Standard for used PV system.
