Chonburi PAO has launched the project on hazardous waste collection and management in Chonburi Province and hire the private party for properly dispose.
The Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization launched “Household Hazardous Waste Management Project for the fiscal year 2024” to collect and dispose of hazardous waste generated within the province on June 13, 2024 and The Governor of Chonburi, representatives from government agencies and private sector participated in the ceremony.
Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) is designated as the main agency for managing Household Hazardous Waste in accordance with The Cleanliness and Orderliness of The Country Act (No. 2), B.E. 2560 (2017) and Notification of the Ministry of Interior on Waste Management B.E. 2567 (2024) under the Act. Chonburi PAO has signed memorandums of understanding with 94 Local Administrative Organizations since 2021 as for collection of Hazardous Waste within the area. [1]
the Chonburi PAO has collected 55,711 kilograms of Household Hazardous Waste in total for three fiscal years, covering 2021-2023 and more than 14,000 kilograms in 2024. the PAO contracted private party for dispose of the collected hazardous waste by proper methods. [2]
