The Project on Strengthen Municipal Solid Waste Management in Thailand is a bilateral cooperation project under the Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) in the field of waste management between Dept. of Local Administration (DLA) and Environment Regeneration & Material Recycle Bureau of the Ministry of the Environment of Japan (MOEJ). 

      DLA, as a responsible government agency for waste management in Thailand, is tackling various issues in the field, and since Japan has long history in waste management and MOEJ has accumulated knowledge and experience learnt from the past activities, both DLA and MOEJ exchange their knowledge & experience, identify challenges and cooperate in upgrading waste management in Thailand.    

    In the Project in 2023, DLA and MOEJ conducted an Administrative Survey & Analysis on Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) & Management in Thailand as well as shared knowledge as for (1) Waste Tire Management, (2) Waste Plastic Management, (3) 3Rs Promotion for the case in Japan and (4) MSW management model project in small-medium size Clusters. 

      The Project has started since 2020 and EXRI ASIA together with EX Research Institute Limited, our head office, has been supporting the Project since 2020.
