The Project on Enhancement of Industrial Waste Management in Thailand 2023 is a bilateral cooperation project under the Memorandum of Cooperation between Department of Industrial Works and Environment Regeneration & Material Recycle Bureau of the Ministry of the Environment of Japan.

     Department of Industrial Works and the Ministry of the Environment of Japan has kicked the Project off since 2016 under the MoC and this is 8th year of the cooperation. The Project set up “To realize Circular Economy in the field of Industrial Waste Management in line with the National Policy of BCG Economy” and conducted various activities, such as development of guideline for transfer station, recycling & proper management of industrial waste and so on.

      In the Project in 2023, Department of Industrial Works together with the Ministry of the Environment of Japan drafted “Reference for Industrial Waste Management Plan” and shared knowledge as for (1) Waste Gypsum Management (from Organic Acid manufacturers), (2) Recycling of used LED, (3) Hydrogen generation technology & utilization, (4) Industrial Waste Management in Japan and (5) the end-of-waste policy & the industrial waste management system(i-Industry) and exchanged ideas as for policy & direction to realize goal set up by the Thai Government.

     EXRI ASIA together with EX Research Institute Limited, our head office, has been supporting the Project since 2016.
