On February 13, 2023, Mr. Noppadon Thanathamsathit, Director of Environment Subdivision & Strategy and Planning Subdivision, Provincial Office of Natural Resources and Environment Ubon Ratchathani Province, and Mr. Yoshihiro Muto, Director of the Environment Bureau, City of Kitakyushu, Japan together with Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University hosted an Online Workshop under the " Project on Upgrading Municipal Solid Waste Management in Ubon Ratchathani Province between Ubon Ratchathani Province & City ofKitakyushu” with representatives from Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Office for Local Administration, Environment and Pollution Control Office 12, Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Public Health Office and Warin Chamrap Town Municipality, Ubon Ratchathani Province attended the Workshop.
The parties reviewed past activities and discussed ideas of further cooperation under the Project between Ubon Ratchathani Province and City of Kitakyushu. There was also a sharing of knowledge on waste management in Ubon Ratchathani province. Ubon Ratchathani Province and City of Kitakyushu agreed to continue cooperate a meeting together to discuss concepts to improve municipal solid waste management in Ubon Ratchathani Province.
