The Project on upgrading Waste Management in Ubon Ratchathani province is a project implemented by City of Kitakyushu and Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Office under the International Exchange Supporting Program of Council of Local Administration for International Relation (CLAIR) with purpose of upgrading waste management in the Province. 

      City of Kitakyushu with the Province have kicked off the Project since 2022 and studied possibility of composting, pyrolysis of plastic waste deprived from both Municipal Solid Waste and E-WASTE (Waste PU). City of Kitakyushu invited members of staff from the Province to Kitakyushu to visit environment related facilities in the city and the area.    

    City of Kitakyushu, Kitakyushu International Techno-Cooperation Association (KITA) from Japan and Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Office of Natural Resources & Environment, Warin Chamrap Town Municipality, Ban Kok Subdistrict Municipality, Yang Khi Nok Subdistrict Administrative Organization and Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University from Thai side participated in the Project, while EXRI acted as facilitator and coordinator for the Project.
